This statuesque pub is situated in a grade II listed building overlooking the cathedral. Inside the original features have been preserved, including a huge arched ceiling and a regal, sweeping staircase on one side. The Old Joint Stock has previously been voted best pub in some prestigious local awards, due partly to the wide range of ales and beer on offer and an excellent selection of traditional English food served in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
