The Ferrands recent refurbishment has lightened and modernised the interior, turning the venue into a destination venue for a mature party crowd. Young professionals, office staff and shoppers come here for lunch. The clientele is relatively affluent at all times, but at weekends it is less stuffy. The 21 to 25 year olds that drink here at weekends are dressed in the latest high street fashions. The menu has a modern English feel, but there are traditional classics such as full breakfasts and haddock. It is now open late from Thursday to Saturday.
