This branch of O'Neill's offers a Celtic progression to the affiliated pub downstairs, open each night. Irish by name, and Irish by nature, the Celtic packaging of this national chain is effective without being overbearing, drawing a mainstream custom. Set in the cobbled Back Wynd, the interior is a little more modern than downstairs, with comfortable seating for those shy of dancing. A combination of local workers and students from the nearby university fill the venue. As with most of the city, Mondays are student orientated.
