The George and Dragon sounds like a fairly traditional pub, indeed the building has been a part of the town for numerous years, however it has been revamped and modernised inside - hence it can compete with many other branded venues in the vicinity. The warm decor and smart fittings make it a firm favourite with lunchtime regulars from local offices. Early door trade can also be busy towards the end of the week. Having the benefit of a late licence the venue is a big hit over the weekend when a much younger crowd is in evidence.
