Neither a wine-bar, club or pub - The Common Room is more of a combination of all three, mixing the exclusive feel of a club with the chill-out appeal of a trendy wine bar or upmarket pub. Although there are regular DJs playing funk or soul and people do sometimes feel the urge to dance, it's not really what the place is about. The old dance floor has even been transformed into a space for exhibiting modern works of art, which suits its relaxed, but chic look. Membership costs 10 a year, and once accepted members and guests get in free.
