TGI Friday's was first established in 1965 in Manhattan and its success has spread rapidly. There is a distinct predominance of red in the interior with the tables topped with white and red tablecloths and the staff themselves dressed in red. Tiffany style lampshades are used and the walls are decorated with US iconography, such as old advertisements and 'Wanted' posters. The menu has meat eaters at heart with a wide range of steaks and grills and there is only a limited selection of vegetarian meals here.
