The theme inherent in the Frankie & Benny's chain is 1950s America with an Italian slant, as the restaurants were founded (so the story goes) by two Italian-American friends. Thus, the walls are covered with black and white photographs that evoke this era and music from the 50s and 60s is continually piped through. There is a wide range of dishes available and although Italian cuisine has greatly influenced the type of meals available, there is a good selection of food on offer. In addition to pasta and pizza, there are also burgers, sandwiches and salads, and specialities, including fish dishes.
