Ye Olde Dolphin Inn

Description

The Dolphin is Derby's oldest pub dating back to 1530 and still retains very traditional appearance and values. It is a real ale house with always about 10 (rotating) ales on offer and a carvery/steak restaurant on the first floor. Downstairs has a buckled cobbles floor, rough hewn wooden furniture, stone walls, smoky ambience. The venue is a warren of small snugs. Occasionally some bearded folky will 'entertain' the assembled with sea shanties and an acoustic guitar. There is also a sizable rear patio.
