Over generations, Vines has been a Derby legend, the city's first (and for a long time best) dedicated party haunt. The branded chains may have usurped its crown, but it still holds its own. It has now started daytime trading with a food menu including the likes of filled jackets, sandwiches and burger and chips meals. A change in owner has led to a complete refurb that is much more bright and brash in florid reds. The main focus is still the giant courtyard that is brazier heated in winter so the live DJ sets can still be enjoyed.
