Description

Tonic describes itself as a 'bar-brasserie-restaurant' and boasts several local awards for its cuisine; it has also been featured in broadsheets. Although the food is its lead attraction, many are here for beers on one of the city's most attractive patios. The 'serious' menu boasts the likes of tuna Nicoise, seared calves liver, veal, tea soaked sea bass, red onion and goat's cheese tartlet, etc, with the menu changing daily. In 2002 the first floor was opened as a sophisticated late lounge that doubled the capacity and is enjoyed by a stylish, laid back crowd.
