The Progress teams second venture in the city, Susumi, is an extremely attractive two tiered bar. There is a daytime noodles and coffee offer with a very relaxed atmosphere. At night, as it gets busier, the first floor is opened which is more of a nightclub and often with a door charge. The venue attracts a range of customers; business types at lunch, students taking advantage of Monday's NUS-only 1.00 binge, jazz buffs enjoying Wednesday's soundtrack, then the weekends see the style crowd gather to compare labels and the odd Derby County footballer trying to jump the queue.
