Friary Hotel is an 'It's a Scream' operation and is practically a student union - a totally fun orientated venue with giant screen and separate games rooms of abundant pool tables, video games, etc. When England play this becomes a sports bar. It is usually NUS dominated through its 'yellow card' discount scheme, but with live sport and big food offers, it brings in lots of other drinkers. The interior consists of lacquered pine floors, bar, indestructible furniture and florid yellow and red paint scheme. A large rear brazier heated patio accommodates at least another hundred and is usually busy.
