Description

After a long hiatus, the former Flamingo & Firkin site is relaunched as Flares - the now familiar 70's themed nightclub. It's gone down a storm with queues taking over an hour to gain entrance at the weekend. Derby is developing something of a reputation as a stag/hen party destination and after trawling the circuits bawdier pubs, large single-sex groups in fancy dress congregate here to dance and flirt. In the early week it attracts a more student-based crowd due to the abundant 1.50 drinks and 2-4-1 cocktail offers.
