Carling C2, the great tasting mid strength lager from Carling, brewed to 2% ABV; for when you want a proper ice cold pint with mates, but want less alcohol.
Less alcohol but still want to enjoy your pint. Here at Carling we're committed to making all our pints taste great, and that's as true for our new lager C2, as it is for the Nation's No.1, Carling*. So what's Carling C2 mid strength all about, and what makes it so great tasting?
We all have those times when we'd love a couple of cold pints with the mates but it's just not on the cards... up with the sparrows tomorrow; an afternoon's work looming ahead, or simply wanting to stay on our game with stuff to do. Let's face it, we're busy people.
And up until now that's pretty much put the tin hat on it.
But after more than a decade of putting our Carling master brewers to the test, and close to 1,000 recipes, we're delighted to say that we've cracked it. A proper lager expertly brewed to 2%, with all the great taste you'd expect from a Carling and the crisp, refreshing lager bite perfect for drinking ice cold with mates.
Great taste at 2%? We've brewed C2 differently to how anyone's made 'lower ABV' beers in the past. We can't say exactly how it's done, or anyone with a mash tun and a lifetime of brewing expertise would be at it, but we're more than happy to declare what we haven't done.
We haven't, for example, started out with a beefy old brew and boiled off the alcohol; or worse, risked an all-out hosepipe ban by topping up the brewery tanks with water - nor have we tinkered around with stopping the whole brewing gig halfway through and then clocked off at lunch. No sir. And why not? Because we just don't believe they would deliver on great lager taste - and for us at Carling, great taste and ice cold are everything.
Carling C2 can be found in most larger stores of Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco. Check back shortly for details on where you can buy C2 in pubs and clubs throughout the UK.
